Paver Driveway Warranties in Florida — What to Actually Ask For

Workmanship vs. manufacturer warranties, what gets excluded, and the warranty language that separates a real contractor from a tailgate operation.

Two warranties, not one

Every paver job comes with two warranties: the manufacturer's warranty on the paver units (typically lifetime against structural defects for premium brands like Belgard, Tremron, Oldcastle), and the contractor's workmanship warranty on the install.

The manufacturer warranty is meaningless without a written workmanship warranty — because nearly every Florida paver failure is an install issue, not a paver defect.

What good workmanship language covers

Settlement greater than 1/2" within the warranty period — re-leveled at no charge. Joint sand wash-out within the first year — re-sanded at no charge. Edge restraint failure — replaced at no charge. Five years is the South Florida standard for residential.

What's excluded everywhere: acts of God (hurricanes), vehicle impact, tree root damage, sealer fade. Ask what's excluded; the answer tells you a lot about the contractor. Full contractor vetting guide.

Red flags in warranty paperwork

"Limited" without defining what's limited. Verbal-only promises. Warranties that void if you don't seal annually at a specific (often the contractor's) price. Warranties that transfer only with a paid "inspection."

A clean warranty is one page, in plain English, with the duration, what's covered, what's excluded, and how to file a claim. Bedrock's is exactly that — ask for a sample with your quote.
